ABOUT US

Backed by more than 30 years of community trust, we stand with survivors and lead prevention efforts across Teton Valley. Together, we're building a future where safety, dignity, and healing are possible for everyone.

Our Mission

At Family Safety Network, our mission is to advocate healthy relationships while empowering survivors of domestic and sexual violence in Teton Valley.

Our Vision

We envision a world where individuals, families, and communities thrive in collective safety and wholeness.

Our Values

  • Acceptance: We embrace and honor the diverse experiences and backgrounds of those we serve, fostering an inclusive environment where everyone feels valued and understood.

  • Dignity: We are committed to treating all individuals with respect and maintaining their dignity through our services and interactions.

  • Empowerment: We provide survivors with the tools and support they need to reclaim their strength and make informed decisions about their lives.

  • Respect: We uphold the inherent worth of every person and advocate for their rights and safety with compassion and understanding

Our History

Family Safety Network was founded in 1994 by a group of women moved by compassion, personal experience, and a desire to help a friend trapped in an abusive relationship. They saw a critical gap in local resources for survivors and took action to fill it.

Over the last 30 years, what began as a grassroots effort has grown into a trusted, community-based advocacy organization. Today, FSN serves more than 300 individuals each year who are impacted by domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking.

Our growth is a reflection of the strong partnerships we’ve built and the continued need for safe, accessible support. As our community changes, so do we — expanding programs, strengthening services, and staying committed to safety, justice, and healing for all.

Our Programs

At Family Safety Network, we are dedicated to supporting survivors and fostering positive change through two key areas:

Advocacy: We provide comprehensive crisis intervention and case management, including a 24-hour hotline (208.354.SAFE), safety planning, safe shelter, mental health referrals, assistance with protection orders, and advocacy within the civil and criminal justice systems.

Education & Prevention: We engage in proactive education and prevention efforts through social media campaigns, advocacy training, community forums, high school internship, and partnerships with schools, clubs, teams, and businesses.
