EMERGENCY SHELTER EXPANSION PROJECT

Through your generosity, FSN is able to provide essential services for individuals and families in our community. Thank you for helping us transform and enrich lives.

Help Us Reach Our Goal!

THE CRISIS WE FACE

Family Safety Network provides emergency shelter and support for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking. When someone in crisis has nowhere safe to go, we ensure they are not left without options. Demand for emergency shelter has surged 350% in the last 18 months. In the past 15 months alone, we have spent over $10,000 on hotel stays because we do not have enough space. This is not sustainable.

THE SOLUTION

We’re launching a three-phase emergency shelter expansion to ensure no survivor is turned away:
1. Phase 1 (Now): Build an Accessory Dwelling Unit (tiny house) on FSN property for emergency shelter.
2. Phase 2: Add a one-bedroom apartment for transitional housing.
3. Phase 3: Renovate existing space to expand housing and enhance survivor support.

WHY IT MATTERS

Emergency shelter saves lives. Right now, FSN relies on:
✔ 1-bedroom emergency shelter
✔ 3-bedroom transitional house
✔ Hotels—our last resort

We need more sustainable shelter options to meet the growing demand.
